Where and how are your products made? +

All of our products are made on site in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The only items we don't make here are "The Pie Life" pies, which are made at Goldhurst Farm Bakery, Tean, Staffordshire.

We are proud that we are a gluten and wheat free site. Our staff members respect the rules and understand the importance of never bringing offending food items onto the premises which contain gluten or wheat. All our baking ingredients are sourced from reputable suppliers based in the UK or Europe. We adhere to the rules set out by the FSA (Food Standards Agency) and we have annual SALSA accreditation.

What are your delivery charges? +

We currently offer the following shipping options:

  • Mainland UK - Standard shipping rate £7.99 (Other than the exceptions listed below).
  • Mainland UK - Free shipping on orders over £100

All deliveries take a minimum of 2 days and so we cannot guarantee products will be frozen on delivery although we will put extra ice in. All responsibility must be taken by the purchaser. Mainland UK is an overnight delivery once dispatched. We use a national courier for overnight deliveries using insulated boxes with ice packs. The system works very well, and it is very rare that products are reported to have defrosted in any way. Nonetheless, we cannot guarantee the products will be fully frozen.

  • Scottish Highlands & Islands - £30.40

If you reside outside the aforementioned postal areas, you will need to contact us directly to see if we can deliver our products to you. You will also find some of our best-selling products on sale with Ocado and in Waitrose stores.

We do not deliver to Scottish Offshore postal codes and similarly cannot guarantee overnight delivery to Scottish Highland postcodes. This is because all products are sent our frozen and would not remain frozen throughout the longer journey.

  • Please note, we are unable to ship to Northern Ireland

What are you delivery days? +

We post our mail orders out on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on an overnight delivery. We use DPD as our courier who, in our experience, provide an excellent service.

Do you deliver to other countries? +

We, unfortunately as yet, do not deliver abroad.

I'm in a different country and want to send something to someone in the UK. Can I do this? +

Yes! We regularly have orders placed from abroad stipulating a delivery within the UK to the postcodes previously outlined.

Can I order online and collect? +

Certainly can! You can find this option at the checkout where you can select your pick up date. Our place is open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. We do close on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas/New Year period.

Can I order over the phone? +

Of course! We appreciate that not everyone likes to order ‘online’. Just give us a call or leave a message on 01969 622222 and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. We are open Monday to Friday from 8am - 4pm. We do close on Bank Holidays and between Christmas & New Year.

How is my parcel packed? +

We store all our stock in freezers and pop them in insulated boxes with ice packs. This is the best insulation method and helps protect the parcel from any unforeseen damage in transit. We usually put in 2 layers of icepacks at the bottom and one or two more icepacks on top. The amount of ice packs will change with the size of you order. We use filler packing to make sure everything stays snug in the box. We then seal the lid and put it in an outer box. The orders are retained within a freezer overnight prior to dispatch the following day.

Can I add a gift message with my order? +

Yes of course! We also have a range of beautiful cards available to purchase. Just let us know what message you would like inside the card and leave it to us.

I'd like this parcel for a gift, would the recipient see the invoice? +

No, don’t worry! We include a delivery note that doesn’t include any prices, just the itemised contents.

I'm not going to be home when my parcel is due, what should I do? +

We encourage everybody to include delivery instructions on their orders to direct the courier driver on what to do with your parcel if you’re not going to be home. It can be left with a neighbour, in a safe place or in an outbuilding.

My parcel arrived damaged! What do I do now? +

Unfortunately, sometimes accidents do happen in transit. Please photograph any of the damaged contents and email them to us with your contact information and we’ll get back in touch with you as soon as we can. Please also get in touch with the courier themselves. If there are any problems with delivery do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

How long will my products keep for? +

We post our products out frozen (packed with lots of icepacks for the journey) because we don't use any preservatives. Once your items have arrived, pop them straight into the freezer or in the fridge to let them defrost/chill fully. Once a packet is open, you can store them in an airtight container usually for up to 72 hours. Please refer to the label packaging for further instructions and will clearly state the best before date and date of manufacture.

Any points for us? +

If your order is a surprise gift for someone, it may be worth letting them know that they are going to receive a parcel! We don’t want parcels to be refused because they weren’t expected!

Please bear in mind that if you order when the weather is hot and not going to be home, please try to have it delivered to a neighbour/business who can kindly pop it in a fridge/freezer for you.

Please get in touch to let us know how your delivery went! You can visit our Facebook page here and we’d appreciate a comment from you!
